Who is Caroline Trudeau, research agent at NOHEIC?

The National observatory on health and environmental impacts of contaminants (NOHEIC) now includes Ms. Caroline Trudeau, research agent in information management, among its team. Her expertise strengthens NOHEIC’s efforts in collecting, organizing, and disseminating knowledge on contaminants and their effects.

Academic and professional background
Originally from the Lanaudière region, Caroline Trudeau holds a bachelor's degree in wildlife biology from the Macdonald Campus of McGill University (2003). She later completed a master's degree in biology at the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (2010), where her research focused on cavity use by the Northern Flying Squirrel in the boreal forest. Before joining NOHEIC, Caroline worked as a biologist at the Québec Ministry of Wildlife, where she contributed to several research projects focused on wildlife management and habitat conservation.

Role and responsibilities at NOHEIC
In her role at NOHEIC, Ms. Trudeau is responsible for:

  • development of the document catalogue: implementing an online catalogue of publications and relevant resources on contaminants and environmental health;
  • information monitoring: tracking new scientific publications and news related to contaminants to document and update the observatory’s resources;
  • research support: assisting researchers and partners of the observatory in documentary research and the dissemination of their findings.
