Understanding citizens' concerns about environmental contamination

Oscar Labra, professor at the School of Social Work at the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue, will be conducting a study on the concerns of the population exposed to environmental contamination linked to the Horne smelter in Rouyn-Noranda. Entitled “Contamination et santé globale : le cas de la Fonderie Horne” (Contamination and overall health: the case of the Horne smelter), his project aims to document the risks perceived and real by stakeholders and the population in different urban sectors, from an ecosystem perspective.
