Rosalie Chartier-Lacombe

Resident of Rouyn-Noranda

As Executive and Artistic Director of the Petit Théâtre du Vieux Noranda, Rosalie Chartier-Lacombe has spent more than twenty years developing projects rooted in the social and regional realities of Abitibi-Témiscamingue. In response to the issues raised by industrial emissions from the Horne Smelter, she helps foster dialogue between citizens, artists, and the scientific community. Her involvement on the NOHEIC scientific council stems from a desire to bridge scientific knowledge, lived experience, and collective reflection in order to promote a more human and cross-cutting understanding of environmental issues and to empower the community.
