Professor, Centre Armand-Frappier Santé Biotechnologie, Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS)
Maryse Bouchard's research focuses on the effects of various environmental contaminants on the health of the population. Her work is aimed at identifying and quantifying health risks through epidemiological studies, in particular risks to the nervous and endocrine systems. She has conducted research into the risks associated with exposure to metals such as manganese and lead, as well as pesticides and various other chemicals. Many of her studies focus, or have focused, on population groups with vulnerability factors, such as fetuses and children, the elderly, aboriginals and workers using toxic products.
